These comic book adaptations are never ending anytime soon, are they?

Coming off the recent announcement of...

The CW's The Flash - spin-off from Arrow (still no trailer for now, despite it coming up this fall),

The not really-Batman prequel Gotham, which I still doubt the need to exist, I mean, really!,

Here comes iZombie now!

Another Vertigo Comics title, a creator-owned series from Mike Allred (reviewed here for NewReaders). This one's also coming on the CW.

Honestly, I'm not really feeling this one... For one, it's on the CW, meaning plenty of gratting Teen-Drama... But also, they seem to have unnecessary changed a lot of the premise to either catch on NCIS-type of audience or to avoid the whole gruesome aspect you would have gotten from a cemetery-sort of setting.

Here goes, from the PR announcement:
"A med student-turned-zombie takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity, but with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories. With the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head."
Since I really liked the original comic, I might give a look to the pilot.. but I'm honestly not feeling this one...
